“First time visiting and honestly the service was disappointing. I was left waiting outside for quite a long time without even being greeted while waiting to be seated. My friend booked through The Fork because that option appeared while making the reservation. We had no idea brunch reservations had to be made separately through the restaurant website. Since it was our first time here, how were we supposed to know your internal booking policy? Customers shouldn’t need to study restaurant rules before visiting. Because of this, we were seated in the “restaurant” area. We politely asked for the brunch menu multiple times (literally around 5 times), and every staff member looked confused. No one wanted to explain properly or even check for us. We felt completely ignored, which honestly came across as rude. Eventually, a lady wearing black glasses came over and explained the situation. We told her we genuinely didn’t know about the booking rules, but at that point we just wanted brunch. We were then told the brunch area was “fully booked.” What made this frustrating was that we checked the website immediately ourselves, and there were still reservations available at that exact moment — even available within 15 minutes. So why tell us it was fully booked? We clearly said if booking was required, we were happy to book NOW! In the end, they moved us to the brunch section anyway. During our meal, there were still several empty tables sitting there for quite a long time, which honestly made us feel misled and unappetising. The management seriously needs to train the staff better on communication and customer service. The only thing that saved the experience was the food — shoutout to the chef because the food was actually really good.”

“Wonderful! The restaurant is beautiful and we had an incredible experience, the food is delicious and the service was spectacular. We ordered several dishes and were surprised by an adorable pet menu for our little dog. I would especially like to thank Cristina who was extremely attentive and friendly while serving us. Thanks to her we got to try the delicious Basque cheesecake. It has definitely become a favorite restaurant and we will be back.”

“Starters 🫒 Piparras & Olives As someone who usually dislikes olives, I was pleasantly surprised—these have none of that bitter aftertaste. The combination of cheese, oil-packed sardines and spicy peppers works perfectly alongside a cocktail. 🍅 Pan con Tomate The tomatoes here have a lovely soft, pulpy texture and are not overly sweet; it’s all about that fresh, bright tomato flavour. 🫑 Padrón Peppers This is the largest serving of Padrón peppers I’ve ever seen at a Spanish restaurant! 🦐 Prawns al Ajillo The garlic prawn sauce is absolutely incredible—highly recommend ordering an extra side of bread to soak up every drop. 🥔 The Campaner's Patatas Bravas My absolute favourite starter. The texture is almost like a light, flaky pastry, and paired with their signature sauce, each bite is pure joy—couldn’t get enough! Mains 🐙 Fideuá Short pasta cooked in the style of paella, served with a whole tender yet springy octopus leg. I was pleasantly surprised to pick up a subtle umami note reminiscent of miso—almost a touch of Japanese influence—yet it stands perfectly well on its own, easily matching the quality of a great paella. 🐷 Iberico Pork Abanico This dish deserves special mention. The pork itself is simply seasoned, but don’t skip the accompanying sauce—it really elevates the rich, savoury flavour of the meat (no unpleasant gaminess at all!). Desserts 🍰 Basque Cheesecake A classic Basque cheesecake, but with an extra rich, thick texture. 🍨 Ice Cream Refreshing lemon ice cream served with a crisp wafer cone that balances the tartness perfectly—such a lovely way to end the meal.”

“I've visited The Campaner for dinner a few times, but their brunch is what really impressed me. The menu is Spanish-inspired, with fresh, balanced flavours that feel indulgent without being heavy. The Crisp Bikini Toastie was a standout — crispy toasted bread filled with Iberian pork cheek, cheese and truffle, packed with flavour. The Black Pudding Spanish Tortilla was another surprise favourite, perfectly soft with a slightly runny centre and delicious with the aioli. The Catalan Shakshuka was rich and comforting, with a beautifully balanced tomato sauce and high-quality Iberian ham. Even the Spanish Breakfast was memorable, especially the crispy potatoes, which were incredibly moreish. To finish, the Greek yoghurt with house granola, seasonal fruit and citrus honey was light, fresh and the perfect sweet ending. A fantastic brunch spot in Chelsea that I'd happily return to.”

“A hidden gem with Barcelona soul! The Campaner is a real find, tucked beside the Garrison Chapel in Chelsea Barracks, it’s quietly beautiful and a world away from the city bustle. The Catalan-inspired food is excellent; every dish feels full of flavour. What truly sets it apart is the hospitality. “The food is absolutely delicious, portion sizes were great. I was very intrigued to try the black squid ink paella, but to my surprise I actually ended up loving Fideuà! “Positively surprised it’s actually pretty good. The Patatas bravas here are so good because they are layered and fried crispy and yet some parts are soft and you can also taste the butter. Iberico pork is great too tender and juicy chargrilled in josper grill. The restaurant interior is very spacious very high ceiling and on warm days they have a large outdoor terrace too. Our service was pretty nice too especially Ali was very knowledgeable and helpful and the food came quick. Yes portions are bit on the smaller side and prices are well Chelsea prices but it’s worth a try especially for the Patatas bravas and their homemade basque cheesecake an absolute must try.”
