“A meal i have waited 12 years for (i have had every cookbook from the start) and did not disappoint in the slightest. Food was incredible, service impeccable, genuinely could not fault. The lovely lady who helped with our wine and sherry choice also deserves a special shout out but unfortunately i did not get her name.”

“Long awaited visit to this restaurant. Had not booked but was accommodated 3 of us. . Exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. Food outstanding in flavor, great selection for vegetarians, the sharing platter was particularly good, aubergine tahini dip, WOW! had to ask for the recipe, to which they obliged! Staff could not be more attentive , atmosphere was vibrant but not too loud, this was a rainy Saturday in June. Shout out for the lovely Lithuanian waitress who was so kind, and attentive.”

“My, what a restaurant! I imagine the turnover is extremely high given the location and for this reason I’m astounded, literally astounded by the level of cooking and flavour that is coming out of that kitchen. Every mouthful was an experience. Someone in there knows what they are doing and it feeds through to the amazing young and bright chefs I met on the pass. Starters were beautifully prepared and perfectly seasoned. I had lamb for main; the lovely lady told me it would be medium rare and it came exactly as described, perfectly cooked and absolutely on point with additional flavours. Our servers: I wanted to have a red wine and our server gave me the option of chilled or room temp. I got the chilled and it was wonderful. Desserts were out of this world. Absolutely well done to the pastry team. Overall, well done to everyone in that restaurant that provided for us. For what it’s worth, I run a restaurant myself and I know what attention to detail and good cooking means. The team knew exactly when and how to deal with a hen party of 9. Difficult I know. Timing was beautiful and service was attentive but not overbearing. I cannot fault this place. Thankyou”

“Came here as in a huge fan of Morito and it didn’t disappoint the food was absolutely sensational. I would hugely recommend the duck dish. It wasn’t what I’ve expected. I’m not a huge fan of duck but honestly they did such a good job. The vegetarian mezze was. incredible another absolute hit from Moro, will absolutely be here again, though does lack a bit on the veggie front My only downside, the service was good and friendly, however slow and often felt like we were left to our own devices, service felt a tiny bit in personal. But all in all I can’t fault the food.”

“In 2001 a cookbook was published that totally crystalised my love of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Written by husband-and-wife chefs-patrons Sam and Sam Clark, it entirely captured not only the dishes they had encountered in their extensive travels, but also those they served in their beautifully unpretentious restaurant Moro, in London's Farringdon. My partner and I first dined at Moro in 2010 and loved it, and on a recent weekend trip to London to celebrate my partner's birthday we felt a return trip to the restaurant was well overdue. It did on disappoint. From the outset the service was warm, friendly, and efficient. The vibe of the restaurant could be described as "warm-minimalist", being stylish, clean, and uncluttered, but with comfortable furniture and decorated with a colour palate that draws on the place's Spanish/Mediterranean focus. However, the absolute star of the show is Moro's food - and drink! My starter of beetroot soup with black cumin and dill yoghurt was packed with earthy spicy flavours, perfect for an autumn day. A main of wood roasted pork belly with trinxat, crispy pancetta, fried turnips and sherry vinegar, was beyond delicious, with the richness of the succulent pork being perfectly balanced by the sharp-sweetness of the sherry vinegar. And the dessert of Malaga raisin ice cream with Pedro Ximenez sherry was divine. My partner's choices of cuttlefish with chickpeas, wood roasted lamb shoulder with romesco, and rose water and cardamom ice cream were equally delicious. Paired with a couple of aperitifs and an excellent bottle of red wine from Alicante, our lunch was simply splendid. Sure, there a few young pretenders on the block, but there is a reason Moro has been around for a while, because with service, atmosphere, and food this good, it's a restaurant that is very hard to beat.”

“food is relatively ok, i love the tapas bar. they have very good selection of wines. However, price is ways over its value. not sure I'll be back. A few other criticisms: sangria is super sweet to the point of un-drinkable and it costs £45/ jug, would be better off getting a nice bottle of wine. Better yet remove it from menu if you cant make a proper sangria. The starter of prawn and squid is tiny and unimpressive sprinkled with a few small pre-boiled frozen prawns and they charged £15 for it.”

“Seated at six and really impressed by the cocktails and welcome right off the bat. The liver as a starter was ideal as a protein hit to share. We all enjoyed our mains, but agreed the fish was the most tasty, best seasoned, and nicely plated dish of the three we ordered. See captions for details. Note that the bread is very, very good and is generously served. We skipped dessert out of lack of interest in the offerings but did order a couple of mint teas. A hug teapot of fresh mint in very hot water arrived and so all three of us enjoyed plenty of glasses of tea. Wonderful and surprising.”
