“My wife and I tried this restaurant on a whim while we were visiting Budapest and I honestly can't believe now how quiet it was in there. We got a table immediately, the staff was very attentive and friendly, but without being intrusive. The food was absolutely to die for. I got the rib-eye and my wife had the filet. Our waiter showed us the vacuum-sealed steaks beforehand so we could pick the size we'd like. They were cooked perfectly and all the sides were fresh and delicious. The real magic was in the steak sauce though. They make a 3-day reduction with bone marrow, vegetables, and spices and it was perfect. That sauce complimented the steak so well, that I was actually sad when the meal was over. I will absolutely come back here if I ever find myself in Budapest again.”

“Positives The tapas was good, we liked the serving size and tastes as well. The steak and duck were top quality with side dish as well. The atmosphere is great, not noise, easy to talk yet good background Spanish music. Negatives Unfortunately they don't have churros, it's something that I would expect at a Spanish restaurant, but it's "street food" so they don't have it. Then I wanted to have Catalan cream, but the waiter told me that if I want something amazing that is only here and will be great gourmet experience, eat this chocolate that they have. Well. It is chocholate... with a bread chips and lots of oil and salt, for like near 2600 HUF, it was very bad (or at least not special chocolate was good but they dont match at all), I dont know why they have it on the menu in the first place and why it would be recommended as something awesome. We knew that it will be an expensive restaurant, but for two person paying close to 50K is not what we expected - could be our fault also, but maybe the menu could be investigated or communicated clearly that a steak will be 20K, and then everything together includes the service fee, it pushes up the price definitely. I also don't understand that for 20K why it's impossible to include the 2K sauce, why it needs to be charged separately, I didn't think I will have Ryanair experience where every small things add up and not clear about it. Overall We had a good experience and I can recommend this place, the food they have is great, just be careful what you order and be prepared with your wallet. The stars I put shouldn't scare away as it is for the price/quality - as in this price category you can find better places, but it's worth a try.”

I was going on memory lane as I rediscovered one of my favorite wines, the El Nino rioja wine. Great food though the pesto with the burger was a bit too mild for this combination. “We had such a great time at Patta Negra! The tapas were absolutely amazing – full of flavor and the perfect way to start the meal. For the main, we tried the steak and it was cooked exactly the way we ordered it – tender, juicy, and full of taste. The salmon was also lovely, though the red sauce on the side wasn’t quite our favorite, but that’s just personal taste. What really stood out (besides the food) was the service. The waitresses were super friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. You can really feel they care about their guests having a good experience. All in all, a fantastic night with delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and great service. Definitely a place we’d come back to for another round of tapas and good vibes!”
