“Came here with my husband for our wedding anniversary and had such a lovely experience! The food was delicious (we loved the Gambas and the little sandwiches so much that we ordered second servings 😛), but what really stood out was the service. A huge thank you to Angelo, who was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcomed from the moment we arrived. We didn’t have a reservation and decided to try our luck by messaging them on WhatsApp. They replied so quickly and managed to save us seats at the bar. What impressed us most was how attentive everyone was. At one point, the guest sitting next to me was a little close and I quietly joked to my husband that her hair was tickling me 😬. We didn’t say anything to the staff, but Angelo somehow noticed and came over to check if we were comfortable and whether we’d like a table instead. We declined (typical Asians who don’t want to trouble anyone 😅), but he still very politely asked the couple next to us if they could shift over a little. He also noticed I had a small bag and immediately brought me a bag hook without me even asking. It’s these little thoughtful touches that made the whole meal so memorable. We came expecting a simple anniversary dinner and left feeling so well taken care of. Thank you, Angelo and team! We’ll definitely be back ❤️”

“This is an overdue review for the glorious dinning experience @Carlitos last Saturday. Food was beyond good. We were stretching our neck each time a server stepped out of the kitchen.looking forward to the tapas dish after dish. Of course the tapas were cleaned up quite quickly each time they landed on our table, haha. “Paella is moderate personally as our group prefer not roasted layer else other dishes tasted good. Relatively good service with nice causal and relaxed ambience, only overshadowed loud conversation amongst a group of counter-seating diners (literally filled with unpleasant words). A staff actually advised them to lower their volume but not for long before they became loud again. Suitable for personal casual dining but may not be for semi formal/casual. Will return because of taste & quality of food. Big open parking opposite side.”

“Love the unique concept of having all the food come in smaller portions, the family and I got to try so many different flavours as a result without overeating! Sadly I don’t remember the names of the dishes we ordered, but the staff are very knowledgable on the dishes and can give you recommendations. If you show them pictures from google review they’re able to identify the dish as well (we also spotted the croquettes from another table and the staff knew immediately what we were referring to when we asked for “the round ball dish” haha). Reservations are recommended, as this place is super popular. Despite being fully booked, service was swift and very attentive. Special thanks to Angelo who went above and beyond to make this dinner memorable and was extremely kind! All the staff were incredibly nice and charming too!”

“Had a really enjoyable meal at Carlitos in Joo Chiat. The food felt thoughtful, well-balanced and full of flavour without being overly heavy. The green bell peppers were simple but excellent ,nicely charred with a great smoky sweetness. The paella of the day with secreto Ibérico was the standout for me. The rice had deep flavour and the pork was tender and rich without being too oily. Also loved the flatbread with fried squid was crispy, savoury and surprisingly addictive. The batata bravas were well executed with a good balance of crispiness and sauce, while the tomato spread on toast bread was fresh, light and a great way to start the meal. The Gambas was very flavourful as well. Overall, a very satisfying Spanish dining experience with quality ingredients and good execution. Would definitely come back to try more dishes.”

“The food and drink are excellent. The prices are not cheap but they are reasonable for the quality of food. The cheesecake was really good. The nose of a Brie and a creamy consistency with a nice cookie base. The noodle paella is also very good. The belly pork was tender and gave flavour to the crispy noodles. “We like to have Spanish cuisine once in a while and this was a wonderful find! It has a very nice, cosy and lively atmosphere. Alberto received us with a very friendly and warm welcome. His meal recommendations were fantastic and we loved the new dishes that we tried there. The food comes in tapas sizes, even the paella and molletes (similar to sliders but much lighter), so we got to try more dishes without feeling bloated. An excellent approach I must say. Had the Pepito madrid, txipirones bilbao, tapa de paella, canélon de la abuela, followed by tarta de queso for dessert. We enjoyed all of them and will be back again.”
