“A solid Spanish restaurant with great vibes, and their course menus are perfect for group hangouts. I loved the ham, pan con tomate (toasted bread with tomato spread) and the wagyu L-bone steak for the main was amazing. They are famous for paella and the course comes with 2 paellas of your choice, but both were too salty for my liking. Otherwise everything was tasty and flavorful, unlike some watered down version of Spanish food commonly seen in Japan.”

“Paella lunch at Bar Portillo DE Espana is a steal! For around 2000 Yen, you get a paella of your choice, a salad, and a free drink. I opted for the red shrimp option (+200 yen) and also went for the the set with extra Meat of the Day (+700 yen), which was the pork chop. The pork chop was surprisingly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The paella rice was cooked to perfection, it was bit on the salty side, but was acceptable to me.”

“Place was delicious. Appetizers and the mixed paella was so so good! Service was excellent and I really appreciate that they made a reservation last minute available for foreigners on a a Friday. So many places don’t know how to maximize their capacity and say they’re full when restaurants look empty for hours. Definitely recommending.”
