About
Vaso is an upmarket Spanish tapas bar at Velaa Sindhorn Village on Lang Suan Road, led by executive chef Álvaro Ramos — known in the Bangkok food scene as “El Palanca”. Listed in the Michelin Guide, it blends serious Spanish cooking with a party atmosphere that gets louder as the evening goes on.
The layout runs two open-kitchen counters: Blanco, the louder main bar where chefs cook in front of you, and Negro, a smaller, more intimate room. The menu changes regularly, mixing traditional and modern tapas built to share — patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo, grilled octopus, Joselito iberico croquetas and the signature El Vaso Trufado truffle toast.

The grilled beef was also excellent—tender, juicy and properly charred around the edges. The sangria complemented the food well and added to the relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. The portions are substantial for tapas, the presentation is attractive, and every dish feels indulgent and full of flavour. VASO is an excellent choice for a lively dinner with friends or anyone looking for one of Bangkok’s more energetic Spanish dining experiences.”

Have to be there to understand. We got a few rounds of drinks free from some of the other patrons who buy drinks for the whole bar 🙏🙏. Wasn’t sure how that works. If u like dancing u may be invited to dance on the bar counter - brings out the youth in you. Tipping is a must for this type of hospitality.”
