“Oh my goodness, it was simply fantastic, you couldn't get any better! We kicked things off with cod fritters (buñuelos de bacalao), then moved onto some amazing paella valenciana, and wrapped it all up with a delicious Basque cake (torta vasca)!! They have a massive menu, so we only got to try a tiny bit, but you can bet we'll be back for more!Besides the great food and the beautiful place, the service was warm, friendly and fast. “This Spanish restaurant is truly special. Although I haven’t yet been to Valencia, I have travelled throughout Spain, and I can confidently say that the cooking here is both genuinely authentic and exceptionally well executed. Nothing feels compromised or adapted for convenience—not even the ingredients. The quality is what you would expect to find in Spain itself, and it is remarkable that they have managed to bring it all together here in Montreal. Honestly, several of the dishes were better than versions I have had at highly rated restaurants in Madrid and Catalonia. The Pintxo Gilda was excellent, with olives, high-quality anchovies, and the proper traditional peppers. I was especially impressed that they used the authentic peppers found in Spain, rather than substituting the cheaper, more readily available varieties that many restaurants use. The Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico were flawlessly executed—crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and better than any croquetas I have had in Spain. The Paella Valenciana was another standout. It was made with the correct variety of beans, and the rice was cooked perfectly without becoming overdone. It had a decent socarrat, although maybe could have used another minute on the flame, and both the rabbit and chicken were cooked perfectly and were very moist. For anyone who wants to experience traditional Spanish cuisine without flying to Spain, this is the definitely the place to go in Montreal. Will definitely be back many times more.”

Service was slow and it took us forever to get drinks and the bill. We did enjoy our time overall though. They were also very good about our celiac restrictions. “Absolutely love this place. I’ve been here more than once and it’s always worth it in my opinion. The chicken paella is my absolute favorite — the flavor is so good and I genuinely love every ingredient in it. I also really appreciate how easy it is to navigate the menu with a gluten intolerance, since the gluten-free items are clearly marked. Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious, including the rice pudding and bravas! The staff are always super friendly and go above and beyond. On my last visit, our server recommended a glass of white wine that paired perfectly with my paella, which I really appreciated. Definitely one of the places I recommend when people want really good Spanish food in Montreal. Will absolutely be back.”
