“What an absolute gem of a restaurant! We did have a little trouble finding it at first because Google Maps seems to show it on the opposite side of the street — but we are so glad we didn’t give up. We ordered the mixed tapas, and every single dish was delicious. The portion size was perfect for two, allowing us to try a variety without feeling overly full. We also had the sangria, which was fantastic. Jen was our server, and she was incredibly kind and attentive, helping us choose and making us feel very welcome. The prices are also very reasonable for Cartagena, especially for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend — we would absolutely return.”

“So good! I had the mix de tapas and it was too much for one person, although I really tried. Beef, so tender, pulled pork with olives, two gigantic shrimp, meatballs and mushrooms. And I had the potatoes bravas which were delicious and just a little spicy. It came with bread , olives, potato salad and a skewer with ham, cheese and olive. Plenty for two! I also enjoyed the red sangria, as others have. Jenny says she doesn't speak English but she does speak some and we did fine and she made wonderful food. The place is a charming hole in the wall and very welcoming. Thanks Jenny! It took me 2 days to find La Taperia because Google maps has it on the wrong side of the street. Go to the ocean side of the road!”
