“I came here for my birthday and was underwhelmed by the paella. We ordered a large traditional chicken and rabbit paella and the rabbit was overcooked and chewy and a couple of the chicken thigh chunks were raw. The rice was cooked well to al denté though. The Asian server was attentive and brought a raw chicken piece back to the kitchen for them to cook us another one, but the one that came out was even smaller and still not cooked through! The garlic prawns prepared at the table had a surprising good depth of flavour and was very creamy from the egg yolk mixed in. Since it was my birthday, they kindly comped the dessert to make up for the raw chicken. It was worth it to try this place once, but I'll unlikely return.”

“We had a wonderful time at Casa Molina! It is a very cozy place, and yet quite modern and well-designed. The attention to detail is present throughout their service, their menu, their choice of cutlery and plates, even the little postcard with the family photo with your receipt clipped. There aren't many Spanish restaurants around, and it was wonderful to find a place that felt genuinly Spanish in their flavours and atmosphere. There is paid street parking nearby, so try to arrive early if you can. We also visited without a reservation and got lucky, but it seemed like most tables were reserved, so I’d definitely recommend making one if you’re planning to visit on a busy weekend. We will most definitely be coming back soon!”

“Great service. Food was alright. The beef cheek was soft but a little on the dry side. The paella seems to be slightly undercooked but was told that is how it should be. The bottom of the pan was not very sticky and kind of wet so it does seem a little undercook. I had high expectations but it was ok overall.”

“We had a very good early dinner at Casa Molina 😊 The cheeseboard was absolutely delightful and our fave was the arroz negro paella. Giving it a 4 because although the food was really good, the foie micuit and the valenciana paella wasn't really to my liking but maybe it's just me. Shoutout to the severs who were helpful (they would explain the food) and very kind. They also gave us a complimentary drink for their anniversary 🍷”

“Food was okay, definitely not wow'd Our server was also quite pushy We wanted to order the paella first knowing it'll take 30 mins while we looked at the wine and decide on other food but he kept insisting we ordered the items together. We ordered a bottled and he poured it quickly and asked us for another bottle, I mean we did get two bottles but I didn't like how he pressured us. He was loud and quite opinionated. Food overall was okay, nothing stood out but the spread looked good in photos! There are better places for paella in Vancouver though. Tax and tip in, it's about $100 pp”

“Perfect Paella! We’ve been searching for a perfect paella, and finally found Casa Molina, they nailed it! Tried their paellas twice on different days and both were perfect! Though both were equally delicious, I loved the paella negra more than the seafood paella. Their appies were also mind blowing! Octopus left me speechless. One of the best! Perfectly charred, and melted into my mouth. Very tender. Same with the squid salad that was part of their special dish for the night. Can’t wait to try the rest of their paellas.”

“We came for an early dinner on a weekend and managed to snag a seat at the bar. Service was super nice and friendly. Very attentive and could tell our needs without being asked Drinks - both drinks that we got were good. Would come back for those Gambas ($17) - shrimp was perfectly cooked. Very good snap and garlic flavour was good. I would order this again Cachopo ($39) - the fried beef steak was okay but I felt like it needed something extra. Maybe a sauce. The manchego cheese was lost in the frying. Nothing oozed out when cut into. The meat wasn't super tender. Felt a bit disappointed with this dish Pulpo ($36) - octopus with puree was interesting. The octopus was tender but the puree felt like apple sauce baby food. Didn't go very well with the octopus. But it's seasonal so it could always change Overall I felt like the food was okay. Maybe we need to try the paella to get a good feel of the flavours here”

“Loved coming here for the Long Table Dine Out experience! All the food tasted great including the paella, but I think I was most surprised by the mushroom croqueta and quail salad (maybe because I don't normally order a salad). Delicious!! Unfortunately didn't have a lot of socarrat on my portion of paella, but I'm sure other tables had more than me. Service was kind and friendly, with the chef even coming over a few times to ask how we were finding things. It was expensive, and there's better value places out there. But for a fun dining experience, I'd recommend it. Left feeling full and happy! Although I don't think they focused on a particular region of Spain, I'd love it if they did something to celebrate the Sant Jordi Festival!! 🌹📚”
