“While exploring the growing food scene in Nha Trang, we stumbled upon Lola Tapas & Wine Bar, and it immediately felt like a little slice of Spain tucked away on Vietnam’s coast. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a stylish yet relaxed feel that made us want to settle in for a long evening of sharing plates and drinks. The staff was phenomenal and helpful. The menu is heavily Spanish-inspired, and every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. We loved the Pan Con Tomate, a simple dish done exceptionally well with fresh tomato and garlic on perfectly toasted bread. The Croquetas Ibéricas were rich and creamy, while the Vieiras Braseadas and BBQ octopus with tomato confit showcased just how much care goes into the kitchen’s execution. One of our favorite dishes of the night was the Carpaccio de Res, which was delicate, fresh, and absolutely delicious. To pair with dinner, we took full advantage of their Aperol Spritz special, which turned out to be the perfect accompaniment to an evening of tapas. As a couple who love sharing plates and trying a little bit of everything, Lola was right up our alley. The meal felt leisurely and social—the way tapas should. By the end of the evening, our table was covered with empty plates and half-finished conversations about which dish was our favorite. (We still haven’t agreed.) If you’re in Nha Trang and looking for something beyond the typical seafood restaurants, Lola Tapas & Wine Bar is absolutely worth a visit. Great portions, excellent presentation, quality ingredients, and flavors that genuinely transport you to Spain. Come hungry, order several dishes to share, and don’t skip the Aperol Spritz. “I was quite disappointed with Beef Carpaccio. It was way too salty, not just the kind of saltiness you’d expect from a dish meant to be enjoyed with wine. Honestly, all I could taste was salt. The cheese, onions, and microgreens were completely overpowered. I even tried removing most of the toppings and eating only the beef, and it was still pretty salty, although at least more manageable. But then it no longer felt like a proper Beef Carpaccio. Vinegar Cured Herring on Tomato Toast was good and had a much better balance of flavors. As for the Sautéed Clams with Garlic Parsley Sauce, unfortunately it was also very salty. The staff explained that the clams naturally contained a lot of seawater, which I understand. I appreciate the idea of keeping the flavor natural, but personally I think there should still be some preparation to reduce the excess salt. Otherwise, it feels like I’m tasting seawater more than the clams themselves. Overall, I specifically came here because I wanted to try a Spanish restaurant in Nha Trang, but the experience was disappointing. I’ve had Spanish food in several other cities before, and this is the first time I’ve encountered dishes that were consistently this salty.”

“This is a great restaurant, the food is delicious and well prepared, everything tasted great! We started with the olives, the tomato bread, and iberico black label ham. The ham was salty and delicious with a nice aftertaste, the olives were marinated nicely and the tomato bread was a nice background to these. The eggplant with anchovies was excellent, a nice flavor and the little bits of anchovies were the perfect hit to bump up the flavor. But our favorites were the grilled octopus and the tomato ensalada. The octopus was so flavorful and grilled perfectly, was so delicious and the salad was very good, with lots of marinated tomatoes! We ended the meal with cream Catalan(?) or what I call crème brûlée. It was delicious. This is a good place to have a memorable meal, everything is prepared well and to enhance the flavors of the food. Excellent!”
