“Very cute little industrial tapas bar/bistro. The design is very simple but create a vibrant moment. We booked a high chair comptoir table to have the tapas bar vibe to the max and it worked. Staff is lovely and nice, but we had to wait 25 min for our order to be taken … and then told the kitchen close 15 min later. Not the best, we felt we had to rush a bit and we had to order all at once. I know it was a week day but we would have preferred a little bit more time to order and enjoy. Food wise is a 50/50 feeling, everything we ordered was delicious but in our opinion, each plate was 2€ too expensive. The octopus was amazing, the combo potatoes octopus and sauce was perfectly blending. Still a weird feeling about the tortilla as first bite was cold … but after all a decision they took for that dish and we liked it in the end. Tasty food but overpriced, great design location and lovely staff after all.”

“Cortado-Cantina Cortado-Cantina is a small and really cute Spanish restaurant in the 3ème arrondissement of Paris. The ambience is super chill, relaxed, and cozy —a lovely spot for a casual dinner. The staff is great and very attentive, which definitely adds to the experience. As a starter, I ordered the tortilla de papas. The flavor was very good, but they serve it cold, which in my opinion is a really bad decision. Warm, it would honestly be a 12/10. Cold, it drops to a 5/10. Such a simple change would completely elevate the dish. For the main course, I originally wanted the cordero, but they didn’t have it available. So I went for the octopus with potatoes. The octopus itself was the best I’ve ever had in my life —super tender, incredibly soft, with an extremely good sauce. Absolutely amazing. But again… the potatoes were cold. That completely ruined the balance of the dish. It’s frustrating because the quality is clearly there, but serving key elements cold really takes away from the experience. Up to this point, I would honestly have given the restaurant 2 stars, as having two dishes partially cold felt like a waste of money. Then came dessert: “pan con chocolate” —a chocolate mousse with olive oil (AOVE), salt, and toast. I genuinely don’t have words to describe how good it was. The mousse was probably the best I’ve ever had. The combination of ingredients is just perfect —rich, balanced, and unforgettable. It completely saved the night. Overall, I’d rate it 3/5. They clearly have truly great things —especially the octopus and the dessert— but also make decisions that hold the experience back. One small suggestion: adding tablecloths or some kind of mantel on the tables would make the setting feel a bit more polished. With a few adjustments (mainly serving dishes warm when they should be), this place could easily be outstanding.”

“The food was truly excellent – fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and offers a very pleasant atmosphere. It could have been a wonderful evening overall. However, the organization left a somewhat unpolished impression: just 15 minutes before opening, chairs were still up on the tables, and right after the doors opened, the staff were still setting things up. This gave the feeling that the place wasn’t quite ready for guests. In addition, the team setup didn’t seem ideal: one staff member had to handle the entire service alone – welcoming guests, taking orders, and serving food and drinks – which she managed impressively well. Unfortunately, she didn’t receive much support from her colleague behind the counter, who appeared rather disengaged. Still, I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars despite the organizational issues. The reason is simple: I have a background in hospitality myself and know how hard the business can be. Too often, people leave 1-star reviews without considering the possible reasons behind service challenges. I’d rather highlight the potential and the effort that was clearly put in here. ❤️”
