“Having both lived in Spain my friend and I often crave authentic tapas but often feel disappointed. We wanted something a little special for a birthday celebration and Casa Maria didn’t disappoint. “Low-key Spanish restaurant in the heart of Thao Dien. 1. Food: not too impressed. The paella came with high expectations but didn’t quite deliver. The complimentary dish with chorizo actually tasted more chorizo-ish than the ordered tapas which was supposed to be chorizo croquettes. Cheesecake was way too sweet. 2. Service: friendly, fast, relaxed. Though we didn’t really care for the fact that they let their poodle put its feet on our table. Happened 4 times during the meal and raised concerns about hygiene. 3. Ambiance: cozy, modern European decor. Not too large but that’s why it’s so comfortable.”
