This is a two-day plan built from the listed hours of four London venues in our directory. It runs from King's Cross on Saturday morning to Covent Garden on Sunday, with a Soho evening in between. All hours below are as listed in each restaurant's record; check them before you go, since daily specials and opening times can change.
For the wider picture, our London Spanish restaurant guide covers the city by area.
Saturday lunch: Barrafina Coal Drops Yard
Barrafina Coal Drops Yard is at 27 Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross. Like the other Barrafinas, it is built around an open kitchen and a marble-topped bar where you sit on red leather stools and watch the chefs work. The à la carte menu covers regional dishes from around Spain, and each Barrafina has its own daily specials menu, so it is worth asking what is on that day.
Saturday lunch is listed from 12:00 to 15:00. The record describes a short wine list of Spanish sherries, cavas and wines. If you want to read up first, see our sherry guide.

Saturday evening: Brindisa Soho
From King's Cross St Pancras, the Piccadilly line runs direct to Covent Garden and Leicester Square, and Soho is a walk from either. Brindisa Soho is at 46 Broadwick Street. The record describes it as inspired by Spanish city bodegas: intimate local places serving artisan beers, sherries and wines with well-sourced food. The menu has tapas, bar snacks and traditional Spanish comfort food.
Saturday hours are listed from 12:00 to midnight, the latest of the four venues here, which makes it the easy choice for a later evening.
Sunday: a Covent Garden counter
There are two Barrafinas in Covent Garden, and both list Sunday service:
- Barrafina Drury Lane, 43 Drury Lane: Sunday lunch 12:00 to 15:00, dinner 17:00 to 22:00.
- Barrafina Adelaide Street, 10 Adelaide Street: Sunday lunch 12:00 to 15:00, dinner 17:00 to 21:30.
Each Barrafina runs its own daily specials, so ask what is on when you sit down. Both close between lunch and dinner, so plan for one or the other rather than an all-afternoon visit.

If you have more time
Our directory also lists Barrafina Borough Yards, the fourth Barrafina, south of the river. For first-timers at a counter, our tapas etiquette guide explains how to order in rounds.
