“A beautiful venue with a great atmosphere, excellent service, and generous, delicious food. However, one thing seriously lets it down: the olive oil. For a restaurant serving Spanish cuisine, there is simply no excuse for offering olive oil that is almost flavourless. Olive oil is a fundamental part of Spanish gastronomy, not a minor detail. A restaurant of this quality should serve an extra virgin olive oil with real character and intensity, or at least offer it as an option for guests who appreciate authentic Spanish flavours. It’s a shame, because everything else is excellent, but great Spanish food deserves great olive oil.”
