The carpaccio with mustard ice cream was an unforgettable combination of flavors—creative, balanced, and absolutely delicious. The paella was easily one of the best we’ve ever had, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We ate far more than we planned because every dish that came to the table was irresistible! The quality, presentation, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. Without a doubt, this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Abu Dhabi. “Lovely little place for a relaxed dinner with friends. Have been many times. This time, we went for Galentine’s and ordered the classic Spanish tapas. The highlight was the tortilla and stuffed gordal olives. Tomato bread was a little dry and tasteless. I don’t recommend the mains - stick with the small and traditional bites and share. Wine options are vast, def try a Spanish red. They take fazza discount and we paid and then asked and unfortunately they refused to reverse and charge us again. It soured the evening, a free dessert or glass of sangria would have been nice. The blasé attitude and response of “you’ll come back” was off putting. It wasn’t busy in the restaurant so the server had the time. On top of 5% tax and 10% service charge we also had tipped 10% on top of our bill too. This is the 4th time I’ve been to this restaurant and service has always been a let down.”

It was our first time trying Spanish cuisine, and dining at José by Pizarro turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences we’ve had in Abu Dhabi. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Angel, who guided us to our table with genuine care—a lovely start to the evening. We had already looked at the menu beforehand, but Marco completely elevated our experience. His impeccable knowledge, recommendations, and attention to detail really made the night. He didn’t just take our order, he crafted an unforgettable dining journey for us. We started with the Pan con Tomate, simple yet delicious with its fresh tomato, garlic, and EVOO, followed by the Cecina, air-dried beef from León that was full of flavor and perfectly balanced. Marco also recommended the Patatas Bravas, José’s unique take on this classic tapa. The crispy layered potatoes topped with spicy tomato sauce and aioli were crunchier and more flavorful than any version we’ve tried elsewhere—an absolute must-order. The star of the night was the Arroz de Gamba Roja (Red Prawn Seafood Paella). The sweet, clean flavors of the sea came through beautifully, making it the highlight of the entire meal. To finish, we had the Burnt Basque Cheesecake with black coffee—creamy, rich, and the perfect ending. What truly set the evening apart was not just the food but also the team. Chef Carlos came by personally to check on us, which added such a thoughtful touch. Pyo and the rest of the staff were always attentive, friendly, and engaging, making sure everything was seamless. The atmosphere, the service, and the food all came together in a way that truly reflects Michelin-star quality.
