“I genuinely don’t understand how this place has a 4.6 rating. The seafood in my paella, fish, shrimp, calamari, and mussels, tasted dry, old, and extremely salty. It was so unbalanced that we couldn’t even finish the dish. My boyfriend ordered another rice-based dish that was heavy, overly creamy, and equally difficult to eat. For two people, we spent almost R$400 and left most of our plates untouched. The issue isn’t about authenticity or comparing it to Spanish paella, it’s simply the very low quality of the ingredients and execution, especially for such a high price. We left disappointed and definitely won’t return.”

“First of all a huge restaurant but still cosy in a certain way. The first impression is ok, the waiters are friendly enough even though their talk quickly tells me they don't know that much about Spanish food, anyways, as if there was just one Spanish cuisine. I decided to go for their most popular dish which is the house paella, meaning you go over to a huge paella pan and have your plate filled. Almost R$100 for all you can eat should probably have rung some bells, but fine, sometimes you can be nicely suprised. Not that it tasted bad, they actually put two giant prawns on each plate, but the seasoning was kind of mediocre, the small shrimps overcooked, too little chicken but lots of green string beans, which don't work as well in paella as green peas, and that was it. Anyways, a rather average and simple paella and I only forced myself two a second plate because I was hungry. It certainly was not worth the money I paid. Ah, it was also salty, I was thirsty all day afterwards. We also ordered a series of tapas, which came rather promptly but the pan tumaca looked saggy (or was it slices of bread topped with some salmorejo?), the bowl of shrimp sort of deep fried and super salty, the mussels in some provençal like sauce looked sad, tasted rubbery and again super salty (do they get salt for free at that restaurant, or what?) The serrano didn't feel freshly cut, sort of the dry rind and sliced too thick without love for the job. The oysters didn't come because not available yet we had to ask whether they would at least charge less as it wasn't obvious to them. The wine card was full of generic Spanish wines, prices also not cheap. To summarize, an average place at the best, but as so often in São Paulo people don't know the cuisine, rather they love "names" and "famous places" even though this fame is unwarranted in this case. Overpriced for what it is, I certainly feel no need to go back. There are much better Spanish restaurants in São Paulo.”
