The Otaviano Restaurant arose from the dream of the partners of the Arena Hotels group to spread the true flavour of Spanish cuisine in the city of Rio de Janeiro, bringing the tradition of its country of origin to the tropical atmosphere of the wonderful city. Among the delicacies that can be tasted are the paellas made with authentic bomba rice and its homemade sweets such as tarta de Santiago.

Staff is great and atmosphere is great.. however their food is subpar, my medium rare steak was well done and bland, potatoes was bland, octopus was terrible and so was the calamari with no taste. I'd advice to avoid this place unless you really have nowhere else to go.”

Tonight I tried a new dessert - the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. This can be a very dry dessert. Not here! Warm, moist and full of sweetness. Lovely! Each night the staff has been very good. They are fluent in several languages. Nice view of the beach too. Recommend!”

(They warn about this too). But food is clean tasting and the free breakfast in the morning (we stayed at hotel) is a buffet not just Continental style. The restaurant is also the "kitchen" for room service.”
