“We went to El Rastro with high expectations, especially since their famous special cachopo has won an award. We thought: if it's award-winning, it must be spectacular. Unfortunately, our experience was quite different. The cachopo arrived with onions that were supposedly caramelized… but they looked more like onions trying too hard to be caramelized. Furthermore, the breading was so oily it looked like it had been through an oil spa. The result: we couldn't finish the dish. The paella, on the other hand, was good and somewhat redeemed the experience. We ordered a Coca-Cola and an Estrella Galicia beer. Halfway through the beer, an unexpected twist occurred: a fly decided to land directly in the glass. We notified the waiter, who politely asked if we wanted another beer. We said yes. The real surprise came at the end: they charged us for both the beer with the fly and the replacement. Apparently, the fly was also entitled to its drink. It was interesting to visit the place and experience the anecdote… but it's not a place we would return to.”

“Delectable spanish restaurant conveniently located near the Spanish Consulate and friend's apartment. Had the Rabo de toro (oxtail) while dipping into a friend's Callos (beef tripe). The Tortilla de patata (spanish omelette) was quite special in spite of having to wait for it since it takes time to make it from scratch! Everything is worth it!”
