“I spent the summer on 2022 in Madrid, Spain. Dining at Restaurante Catorze transported me back in time to my best memories of Madrid -- the food. Everything that I ordered was prepared perfectly. The star of the show was the huevos rotos. The patatas bravas was superb. The gambas al ajillo is splendid. The lechon is to die for. The Galician sea bass is succulent. I washed it all down with a couple glasses of tinto de verano. You can't go wrong dining at this establishment. They really know what they are doing and create an authentic Spanish environment in all ways.”

“Great Atmosphere, our Server Miguel Angel was amazing and attentive. They were able to accommodate 8 people without an issue. Appetizers of bread with tomato, manchego cheese and sliced dry salamis were delicious. “I came here for lunch and was so impressed with the service, food and overall quality of the restaurant. I didn’t have a reservation but the restaurant wasn’t packed so i was at down within one minute and chose to eat near the window. My waiter Israel was so nice and so attentive. I ordered the garlic shrimp with basil honey as an appetizer and it was SO GOOD. A good amount of shrimp, tiny bit of spicy (i actually wish it was spicier). Bread was brought out along with two olives and potato chips with our food. I highly recommend dipping the bread into the basil honey sauce. So delish. I then ordered the seafood paella for my entree. My friend later joined me and ordered the mushroom and truffle pasta. The paella hit the spot! I tasted my friend’s pasta as well and although I’m not the biggest fan of truffle, it was pretty good! It didn’t overwhelm the pasta at all. Overall i highly recommend this place. If you’re an English speaker, you wouldn’t have a problem, however, i do recommend learning some Spanish to help you get by :) *It’s also walking distance to the Museo Nacional de Antropologia so a great to come if you’re going there.”

“I have been to catorze many times. It has a particular type of exterior and a very simple but luxorious Spanish decor, the dresscode is formal but in a casual sense. The waiters are really welcoming and are dressed formally. I orderes 2 Classic Coca Cola´s, the Catorze croquettes and the Sterling silver which come to a total of $1090 pesos or 55 american dollars. The Catorze croquettes were a bit cold but the richness in flavor could compensate. As for the Sterling silver, it looked so tender and juicy, I practically was tasting it before the first bite. It was perfectly cooked and the black truffle gave it a nice kick. Overall the cleanliness and service were really nice. My only point of improvrmrnt would be how fast the food takes and the restrooms a bit. I would defenetly go back.”

“Great all around. I came in alone on a Monday evening for dinner before leaving Mxc. Not packed at all around 8 pm. The service was phenomenal, I got the croquetas which were a solid 9/10. Could have been crispier but still good. The pumpkin flowers were my favorite.. I also got pan con tomate which was also great, my least favorite were the gambas al ajillo, but may have been because I wasn’t that hungry by then, they seemed a bit overcooked. Will definitely return with friends to try their other heavier dishes.”
